Educational, not medical advice

Everything on Migrainers.online — the articles, FAQ, stories, books, videos, podcast, tips, Clara, and community discussions — exists for education and emotional companionship. None of it is medical advice, and nothing here creates a doctor–patient relationship.

Every migraine is different. What helps one person may not help you, and only a clinician who knows your history can diagnose or treat you. Always talk to your healthcare provider before changing medication, treatment, or lifestyle based on something you read here.

About Clara

Clara is an artificial-intelligence chat companion grounded in the educational articles on this site. She is not a clinician, she can make mistakes, and she will tell you when a question is beyond what she can answer. Never rely on her for diagnosis, treatment decisions, or emergencies.

About the stories and community

The stories and community posts on this site reflect personal experiences of living with migraine and visual aura. They are shared for recognition and support — "someone else has been there" — not as guidance. A coping method that appears in a story or post is one person's experience, not a recommendation.

Books and recommendations

Books and other resources listed here are informational suggestions we find valuable, not medical endorsements.

When to seek emergency care

Some symptoms need a doctor now, not a website. Seek emergency care if you experience:

  • The worst headache of your life, or a "thunderclap" headache that peaks in seconds
  • Sudden vision loss, or a visual disturbance that is new or lasts longer than an hour
  • Weakness, numbness, or paralysis on one side of the body
  • Confusion, difficulty speaking, or trouble understanding speech
  • A headache with fever, stiff neck, seizure, or after a head injury
  • A first-ever aura, or an aura pattern that suddenly changes

When in doubt, get checked. It is always the right call.
