Privacy
The short version: we collect what's needed to run the site, we use one cookie so you stay signed in, and we don't run ads, don't use third-party trackers, and never sell your data.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address and a password (stored hashed — we can't read it).
- Conversations with Clara. If you're signed in, your chat messages are saved so Clara remembers context and you can revisit your history. If you're not signed in, conversations live only in your browser.
- What you choose to enter. Episode logs, profile details, community posts, replies, and story comments — content you write to use the site's features.
- Visit analytics. Like most websites, we log basic visit data (IP address, page viewed, approximate country) to understand traffic and keep the site safe. We use our own simple logging — no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels.
Cookies and local storage
We set one cookie (mh_token) and use your browser's local storage, both for a single purpose: keeping you signed in and remembering preferences like your theme. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies of any kind.
Third parties
- OpenAI. When you talk to Clara, your message (and recent conversation context) is sent to OpenAI to generate the response. Don't include information you wouldn't want processed by an AI service.
- Hosting. The site runs on Railway; data is stored on our hosted infrastructure.
That's the full list. We do not share, rent, or sell your information to anyone.
Your choices
- You can use most of the site — articles, stories, FAQ, and a limited number of messages with Clara — without an account.
- You can edit or delete your own posts, replies, and comments at any time.
- If you want your account and its data removed, reach out via the About page and we'll take care of it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll note it here. Questions? Head to About.
